Havuja has been selected for VECTOR, a commercialization program for dual-use technologies funded by Business Finland and delivered by Helsinki Innovation Services, the innovation company of the University of Helsinki. Six Finnish companies were selected for the program, and Havuja was nominated by Business Tampere as the company to represent the Tampere region.
VECTOR is a mini-pilot of the Defense I-Corps model, built on the Lean LaunchPad method. Instead of planning in isolation, teams test their business hypotheses in the field: through customer, end-user and stakeholder interviews across the civil–defense interface, hands-on work on their business model, and guidance on dual-use and export requirements from experienced mentors.
The program runs from a kick-off workshop at the University of Helsinki in October, through remote check-ins in November, to a final workshop in Helsinki in December.
For Havuja, the timing is ideal. As a newly founded company, we get to test our assumptions directly with the people who will use our systems, and to sharpen our understanding of where precision test and calibration create the most value in markets where reliability, traceability and a trusted supply chain matter most.
Thank you to Business Finland, Helsinki Innovation Services and Business Tampere for the opportunity.
