Havuja Solutions has officially launched. Founded in Tampere, Finland, by Lasse Lepistö, Kimmo Jokinen and Pekka Laiho, Havuja brings together decades of experience building precision optics, robotics and test systems for Tier-1 consumer electronics companies.
The three of us are not new to each other, or to this field. For many years we worked side by side, building optical metrology from early R&D concepts into systems running in volume manufacturing for some of the world’s leading device makers. We learned together what it takes to turn a measurement idea into a station that runs around the clock on a production line, and to deliver it to customers on the other side of the world. Havuja is the next chapter of that collaboration.
Lasse Lepistö, CEO, has more than 20 years in precision automation and previously served as CEO of an optical metrology company. He has led companies through growth, from engineering-driven startup to global supplier, and he knows how to scale an organisation without losing its engineering edge. At Havuja he leads the company and our expansion into the United States.
Kimmo Jokinen, CTO, brings over 30 years of experience in metrology and robotics systems. As co-founder and CTO of a metrology company, he designed and delivered measurement platforms that went from lab prototypes into mass production. He leads Havuja’s technology, from optics and motion to machine vision and software.
Pekka Laiho, CCO, has led the global commercial side of optical metrology platforms and spent more than a decade based in Asia, working directly with consumer electronics OEMs and their manufacturing partners. He brings a deep understanding of how leading device makers buy, qualify and ramp new technology, and leads Havuja’s customer relationships worldwide.
Our backgrounds are deliberately different: leadership and scaling, deep technology, and global customers. That combination is what it takes to build test systems that work in the lab, on the line and in the customer’s business.
Our goal is to turn advanced optics and engineering into reliable production systems, and to help Europe build resilient, competitive advanced manufacturing.
